The world's best sprinter and four-time group one winner Nature Strip has bolted in for a five and a half length trial win at Rosehill on August 18.
After crossing Vangelic early and taking the lead, Nature Strip cruised to the line for a soft win with Fituese, Vangelic and talented stable mate Hungry Heart coming in at long intervals behind the six-year-old son of Nicconi who looks likely to resume in the Group Three Concorde Stakes over 1000 metres at Randwick on September 5.
Although it technically wasn't the fastest 900m heat of the morning at 54.69 overall, it was only marginally off Heat 8 (54.67) which was taken out by Mr Mosaic and Heat 14 (54.68) which saw the impressive Malkovich win another hit-out by a big space following a six-length victory on July 24.
The August 18 trials from Rosehill wasn't all about Nature Strip, however, with the talented and unbeaten duo of Peltzer and Doubtland participating in Heat 9.
Peltzer who is a $10 chance with Sportsbetting.com.au for the Group One Golden Rose on September 26 was the stronger of the pair in taking up the lead and under his own steam, recorded a soft win on the line in his first public hit-out of the spring.
The son of So You Think appears likely to resume in the Group Three San Domenico Stakes over 1100 metres at Rosehill on August 29.
