Four-time group one winner Nature Strip has won a strong 900m heat at Rosehill on January 27.
After slowly rolling forward into a three-wide position behind Dame Giselle and Vangelic, the son of Nicconi headed the early leaders under James McDonald at the top of the straight with Bivoauc working home into second.
Following the departure of Classique Legend to Hong Kong, the Godolphin four-year-old has arguably taken over the mantle as Australia's best sprinter following the VRC Classic when bolting into score over the 2020 Melbourne Cup Carnival.
At 54.94, Nature Strip's 900m hit-out went around five and a half lengths faster overall than the second heat of the morning which was taken out by Samadoubt.
That line-up was also stacked with quality and it included superstar mare Verry Elleegant, who worked to the line under a firm hold.
