The second runner for the $15 million dollar Everest has been confirmed with Masked Crusader set to run in the Whitby/Werrett slot for the 2021 edition.
With Nature Strip announced as the first entrant earlier this week for Chris Waller's slot, the first two home in the 2021 TJ Smith Stakes are now in the field for the world's richest turf race.
Winning his first Group One via the William Reid Stakes on March 19, Masked Crusader has a chance to finish his autumn with a second major, running as the favourite in Saturday's All Aged Stakes.
Vega Magic (2017), Graff (2018), Sunlight (2019) and Trekking (2020) have been the representative runners for the Max Whitby and Neil Werrett Everest Syndicate with Vega Magic's unlucky runner-up to Redzel in the inaugural edition their best result to date.
The 2021 Everest will be run on Saturday, October 16 at Royal Randwick.
