Despite a poor start, De An Andretti overcame that early hiccup to win on debut over the 1100m at Hawkesbury on April 14.
A full sister to multiple Group winner Libertini, De An Andretti settled towards the rear under jockey Andrew Adkins and although the pair were steadily making ground, she was still spotting her rivals a decent head start at the top of the straight.
It was the last 100m when this two-year-old began to balance up and then let down powerfully, storming past the early leader Your Too Good over the concluding stages.
Speaking to Sky Racing post-race was trainer Ron Quinton who is confident of a bright future with this superbly bred filly.
"It was an outstanding effort I thought because she came out very awkward from the gate which she hasn't done before, and that would tell us she's a good filly on the way up," Quinton said.
"She's beautifully bred and a monster of a filly for a two-year-old but she'll be a very good three-year-old.
"She'll probably go for a holiday now and come back for the Spring."
De An Andretti is by the champion sire I Am Invincible and out the dam Aloha, a winner of the Group One Coolmore Classic back in 2011.
