2022 Golden Slipper Nominations

2,302 horses have been nominated for the 2022 Longines Golden Slipper Stakes, to be run at Rosehill Gardens on Saturday, March 19.

The world’s richest race for two-year-old's, this feature headlines one of the biggest race days of the Australian racing calendar with the Ranvet Stakes, Rosehill Guineas, George Ryder Stakes, Golden Slipper and The Galaxy making it five Group One's contested on a huge program.

The number of entries is the third highest in Golden Slipper history, with 69 more horses on last year’s first nominations for this $3.5 million major.

Ciaron Maher Racing heads the list with 132 entries from Godolphin (105), Gai Waterhouse and Adrian Bott (91), Mick Price Racing & Breeding (88), Chris Waller Racing (82), Annabel Neasham (79), Ben & JD Hayes (61) Hawkes Racing (60) and Richard & Michael Freedman (54).

With 123 nominations, I Am Invincible is the most popular sire from Zoustar (100), Snitzel (99), Capitalist (98), Written Tycoon (69), Deep Field (68), Russian Revolution (66), Pierro (64), Shalaa (55), Spirit Of Boom (54) and Sebring (53).
