Bivouac Wins Hawkesbury Trial

Dual group one-winner Bivouac has impressed in his first public outing ahead of a potential Everest tilt in the spring with a comfortable trial victory at Hawkesbury on August 17.
The Group One Golden Rose (2019) and Newmarket Handicap (2020) champion trailed the early leaders in Swilling and Bondi Boy out wide before pulling away for a comfortable win under Hugh Bowman from stable mate Glaciers in second.
At 48.20 on a Soft 7 surface. he didn't run fastest time of the morning in his 800 metre hit-out, however, the four-year-old son of Exceed And Excel wasn't pushed out ahead of a possible return in The Shorts over 1100m at Royal Randwick on September 19.
Bivouac is currently the $9.50 second favorite with Sportsbetting.com.au for the 2020 Everest behind Nature Strip.
