A Racing Victoria Stewards inspection found surface water in sections of the track after overnight rain which forced the abandonment of the meeting for March 23.
On a day where three meetings where scheduled around the country (Gosford, Beaudesert and Benalla). none will go ahead due to the heavy rain that has been falling in those areas.
Melbourne midweek racing heads to Sandown on March 24 with the track currently in the Soft 5 range while the Sydney program (Randwick-Kensington) originally scheduled for Wednesday has now been pushed back to Thursday, March 25.
The cancellation of the Hawkesbury card (March 25) will now see no Provincial racing in New South Wales until this Saturday at Wyong which will host a $150,000 Provincial Championship Qualifier heat.
