Arcadia Gem, a half-sister to three-time Group One winner Arcadia Queen, has accepted for Race 4 (1300m) at this Thursday's Perth meeting from Belmont.
This three-year-old has the winkers applied following two spring trials, the first of those coming in September when finishing two lengths from stable mate Devoted (won on debut), while she made some inroads despite being safely held on October 18 (click here to view latest trial).
The daughter of Domesday has drawn barrier four in her debut assignment, with 'The Wizard' William Pike taking the ride for the powerful training partnership of Grant & Alana Williams.
Racing in the famous cerise and white of leviathan owner/breeder Bob Peters, Arcadia Gem is the ninth foal from the dam Arcadia, who has produced four individual stakes winners; Arcadia Dream, Arcadia Prince, Arcadia Queen and Arcadia Rose.
Arcadia Prince is the only runner of that quartet not to have won on debut.
Arcadia Gem is a full-sister to the 2016 WA Derby winner Arcadia Dream, who is having success in the breeding barn, as the dam to multiple winner Iolanthe, while her second foal Arcadia Grace was an impressive debut winner in August prior to two unlucky attempts this spring.
