Sydney Roosters get the chance to bounce back against one of their favoured opponents when they take on Wests Tigers at Leichhardt Oval on Saturday. Having lost to the Storm last weekend, the reigning premiers take on a Wests side they have won 13 of the last 14 against.

Tigers Form & Team News

Wests Tigers are up to ninth on the ladder and firmly in the hunt for the finals. Last week's dramatic 29-28 win over bottom club Canterbury Bulldogs snapped a three-game losing run and took their record for the season to 6-8, leaving them two wins outside of the eight.

Wests have won only two of their last seven games, however, with both of those victories coming against the bottom two sides in the competition: the Bulldogs and Brisbane Broncos.

The Tigers have named Alex Twal in the matchday squad and he could make a return from injury.

The Tigers team for Saturday is listed below:

1. Adam Doueihi 2. David Nofoaluma 3. Joseph Leilua 4. Moses Mbye 5. Tommy Talau 6. Luke Brooks 7. Benji Marshall 8. Josh Aloiai 9. Jacob Liddle 10. Russell Packer 11. Luke Garner 12. Roosters Form & Team News

The Roosters slipped to 9-5 for the season when going down 24-6 to Melbourne Storm last weekend, but they remain on course for a top-four finish despite a heavy injury list.

The Tricolour have been on the wrong end of key games since the season restart, however. They have lost twice to premiership rivals the Storm and also were defeated by fifth-placed Canberra Raiders.

The Roosters have opted against naming Sonny Bill Williams despite the completion of his quarantine period. Brett Morris and Jared Waerea-Hargreaves do return from injury, replacing Christian Tuipulotu and the injured Mitch Aubusson. Lachlan Lam (ankle) and Luke Keary (ribs) are ruled out with Drew Hutchison and Kyle Flanagan named in the halves.
