Melbourne Storm host the Wests Tigers on Saturday in Round 19 of the NRL season. Storm are preparing themselves for yet another finals assault, while the Tigers will be looking to build momentum for next season after missing out on the eight.

Storm Form & Team News

The Storm are hoping to confirm their stranglehold on second spot on the ladder and secure a home semi for week one of the finals - although it won't be played in Melbourne.

The Storm were dominant in defeating the Cowboys last week, running away with a strong 36-20 win.

Christian Welch’s return at prop has caused a reshuffle in the pack, with Nelson Asofa-Solomona moving to lock, Tino Fa'asuamaleaui to the bench and Darryn Schonig dropping out.

Brandon Smith is a chance of returning from a broken jaw after being named in jersey 18.

The Storm team for Saturday can be found below:

Tigers Form & Team News

The Tigers have once again failed to secure a finals berth this season despite enjoying a fantastic start to the campaign and holding high hopes.

It was a massive performance last week to narrowly go down 24-26 to the South Sydney Rabbitohs, with the return of Harry Grant proving vital for the team's chances of finishing the season on a high.

Joey Leilua replaces Tommy Talau at centre, while Josh Reynolds will start at halfback for the suspended Luke Brooks.

Sam McIntyre has been named in the back row with Luke Garner dropping to the bench, joined by Russell Packer and Zane Musgrove who have been named on the bench in place of Elijah Taylor and Jacob Liddle.

The Tigers team list for Saturday can be found below:

1. Adam Doeuihi 2. David Nofoaluma 3. Joey Leilua 4. Chris Lawrence 5. Asu Kepoea 6. Josh Reynolds 7. Benji Marshall 8. Josh Aloiai 9. Harry Grant 10. Thomas Mikaele  11. Sam McIntyre 12. Storm vs Tigers Head To Head

Storm vs Tigers Betting Odds

The Storm are unbackable odds of $1.15 to defeat the Tigers at $5.50. Wests have a +14.5 start on the line.

Storm vs Tigers Match Up

Harry Grant was involved in a trade deal between the Storm and the Tigers, and is set to return to Melbourne after this season. He will be looking to make a statement facing up against Cameron Smith.

Grant has been playing sensational football this season and is essential for this Tigers side, with both their attack and defence suffering when he was injured.

Smith, on the other hand, has had plenty of media attention surrounding his career, and with a likely retirement looming he will be looking to show his best against the heir to his hooker role.

Verdict

Storm have been playing outstanding football this season and will be too strong on the day. But the Tigers often save their best football for the Storm. Led by Harry Grant, a brave performance from a Tigers side that can cover the line.
