St George Illawarra Dragons vs Wests Tigers Tips

Wests Tigers are in a whole lot of turmoil and things might not get any better this weekend. The Dragons are tipped to return to winning ways in a low-scoring affair.

  • Wests Tigers and St George Illawarra Dragons have seen under the match total hit in 8 of their last 10 matches.
  • Wests Tigers have lost their last 4 matches.

The last 18 clashes have been evenly split with nine wins each, but Wests Tigers have come out on top in the last two meetings played between the sides.

Wests were 42-14 winners in 2019 and repeated the victory last season when recording a 24-14 win over the Dragons.

St George Illawarra Dragons Form

St George Illawarra Dragons suffered a second straight loss when going down 34-10 to the Sydney Roosters last weekend.

The Dragons weren't helped by the first-half sin-binning of Jordan Pereira when leading 6-4, and it turned into a one-sided Anzac Day affair in the end.

A week earlier, they were beaten by the New Zealand Warriors 20-14 to undo what had been an impressive start to the season.

The Dragons had gone 4-1 in the opening five weeks including four straight wins over North Queensland Cowboys, Manly Sea Eagles, Newcastle Knights and Parramatta Eels.

St George Illawarra Dragons Team News

The Dragons will be without both Mikaele Ravalawa and Jordan Pereira with both suspended for Sunday's game.

The Red V do get Ben Hunt back after a leg injury, forcing a rejig. Jack Bird moves to the centres and Cody Ramsey starts on the wing in place of the suspended Pereira.

Max Feagai get the nod to replace the suspended Ravalawa for what will be his first appearance of the season.

Jackson Ford and Poasa Faamausili have been added to the reserves.
