St George Illawarra Dragons vs Canterbury Bulldogs Tips

Not much separates these two sides in regards to defence and attack over the last three weeks. The Bulldogs have outscored the Dragons 46 to 32, while defensively the Dragons are a mere try better, conceding 70 points to the Bulldogs 74.

Although the Bulldogs are tipped for another defeat, it shouldn't be by much with a 1-12 point winning margin for the Dragons predictions.

  • St George Illawarra Dragons have lost their last 3 matches.
  • St George Illawarra Dragons have won 3 of their last 4 matches against Canterbury Bulldogs.
  • Canterbury Bulldogs have lost 8 of their last 9 matches.
  • Over the last 3 NRL Rounds, the Bulldogs have scored 14 points more than the Dragons.

These sides have met 40 times with the Bulldogs winning 25 games to the Dragons' 15. The Dragons though have won three of their last four games against the Dogs.

Worringly for the Dragons though, is the fact that Canterbury has won four of their six games against the joint venture club at Netstrata Jubilee Stadium.

The last time the Bulldogs lost back-to-back games at Kogarah was in the mid-90’s

After the Dragons lost their opening game to rivals Cronulla Sharks, they won four straight matches against the North Queensland Cowboys, Manly Sea Eagles, Newcastle Knights and Parramatta Eels.

They went down narrowly to the New Zealand Warriors, which kicked off a three-game losing run.

They were humbled by the Dragons in their annual ANZAC Day clash before last week's disappointing loss to the lowly Wests Tigers.

The Dragons still sit in sixth place on the ladder, but a loss here could well see them drop out of the top 8.

Canterbury Bulldogs Form

The Bulldogs attack is anything but, the club being the only NRL side not to have scored at least 120 points in 2021.

They have scored just 80 points this year, 42 less than the next worst attacking side, Brisbane Broncos.

Their defence is also a mess, conceding more points than any other team. Their average scoreline so far this year is 10-31.

They have just one win, a scrappy 18-12 victory over an out-of-form Cronulla Sharks side that has sacked their coach. They were kept scoreless for three consecutive games and haven’t won back-to-back games since 2019.
