Roosters vs Dragons Betting Tips

Two in-form teams lock horns on Friday night as the Roosters host the Dragons at Bankwest Stadium.

The Roosters are flying and once again are the team to beat in 2020 while the Dragons climbed off the bottom of the ladder following two-straight wins over the Sharks and the Titans.

Roosters Form & Team News

The reigning premiers are humming right now after a shaky start to the season. The Roosters are fresh off ending the Parramatta Eels' unbeaten run in 2020 and could claim the top spot on the ladder if results go their way in round seven.

There's question marks over James Tedesco, despite the Dally M Medallist being named, while Sam Verrills and Lindsay Collins replace Sitili Tupouniua and Mitchell Aubusson on the bench.

The Sydney Roosters team for Friday night can be found below:

1. James Tedesco 2. Daniel Tupou 3. Josh Morris 4. Joseph Manu 5. Brett Morris 6. Luke Keary 7. Kyle Flanagan 8. Jared Waerea-Hargreaves 9. Jake Friend 10. Siosiua Taukeiaho 11. Boyd Cordner 12. Dragons Form & Team News

The Dragons strung a second-straight win together last week after crushing the Titans by 12 points to claw their way off the bottom of the ladder. The victory built upon their shock 14 point win over the Cronulla Sharks and has injected some much needed life into their season which had almost slipped away.

The long-touted retirement of James Graham has happened, with the English heavy-hitter now Super League bound. Jackson Ford replaces him on the bench. Jason Saab replaces the suspended Jordan Pereira on the wing, Blake Lawrie starts at prop, Josh Kerr goes back to the bench.

The St. George Illawarra Dragons team for Friday night can be found below:

1. Matthew Dufty 2. Jason Saab 3. Euan Aitken 4. Zac Lomax 5. Mikaele Ravalawa 6. Corey Norman 7. Adam Clune 8. Blake Lawrie 9. Cameron McInnes 10. Paul Vaughan 11. Tyson Frizell 12. Tyrell Fuimaono 13. Trent Merrin 14. Ben Hunt 15. Josh Kerr 16. Jacob Host 17. Jackson Ford 18. Korbin Sims 19. Tristan Sailor 20. Tim Lafai 21. Billy Brittain

Roosters vs Dragons Head to Head

Unsurprisingly the Roosters have dominated this fixture in recent years and can claim a fourth-straight win over the Dragons with a victory on Friday.

The premiers' strong run over the big red V dates all the way back to 2012 with the Chooks dropping just three matches in the last 14 meetings.

Roosters vs Dragons Betting Odds

The Sydney Roosters are the overwhelming $1.11 favourites heading into Friday, with the Dragons the massive outsiders at the $6.50 quote.

The line is set at -17.5 in favour of the Roosters, with the bookies anticipating a blow out result.

Roosters vs Dragons Match Up

Kyle Flanagan and Adam Clune is the key match up heading into Friday night.

Flanagan has stepped up in the last month and has been a huge reason for the Roosters' change of fortunes following the opening two rounds. Clune has not been as prolific for the Dragons but his steady hand has helped bring some stability to a team that badly needed it.
