Parra will be without three Origin stars which will likely hamper their offensive output. The Warriors can seize this opportunity to muscle up in defence and restrict their electric opponents to a relatively minor scoreline.
- New Zealand are 12-4 ATS in 2023 and 7-1 on the road.
- Parramatta will be without their first choice spine who have scored or created the majority of their points in 2023.
- The Warriors are currently 4th in the league in defence allowing an average of only 19 points per game to their opposition
- Dallin Watene-Zelezniak has scored 9 tries in his last 5 games.
Head to Head
The Eels and Warriors have only met once per year since the beginning of the 2019 season with Parra securing all four wins.
The margins have been relatively close with only one game (2021) resulting in a margin of more than 10 points to the Eels.
Parramatta have only covered the line in one of their last four wins against New Zealand.
Parramatta Eels Form
Parramatta had won five games in a row preceding their round 18 bye and are now sitting at 6th on the ladder ahead of the Rabbitohs and Warriors on points differential.
After winning only one of their first five games many had written the 2022 Grand Finalists out of the running for even a top 8 spot in 2023. Not only have they bounced back but they have done it style picking up solid wins to push their points differential to 132, second best in the NRL.

New Zealand Warriors Form
New Zealand are clinging onto their top 8 spot with the Cowboys hot on their heels.
Having won three games in a row prior to round 18 they were widely tipped to come out on top of an undermanned Rabbitohs outfit.
Unfortunately for the Warriors the rain gods interfered and torrential rain effectively ruined any type of game plan that might have existed.
Not much more can be taken from last week's game and as long as the Warriors can continue to play with energy in attack they will always be competitive.

The Wahs name the same 17 who went down to the Rabbits in Round 18. Shaun Johnson may stay in New Zealand for the birth of his son. If that happens Ronald Volkman is tipped to start.

Verdict
Now they are without King Gutho, Moses, Brown and RCG, I have trouble seeing where points will come from and the Warriors are killing it on the road this year. Warriors to cover and DWZ to cross for a try.
