Penrith Panthers set a new club record of nine straight wins last week and get the chance to make it 10 in a row when they host Cronulla Sharks at Panthers Stadium on Friday. The ladder leaders thumped the Sharks by 32 points in Round 9 and start as strong favourites to repeat that victory.

Panthers Form & Team News

Penrith Panthers weren't at their best in last week's 18-12 win over the New Zealand Warriors, but the leaders continue to reel off the wins. It is a club record nine in a row heading into the home game against the Sharks.

A solid defence has been the hallmark of Penrith's winning run with the Panthers conceding over 14 points just three times all season - although the Sharks were one of the three teams to do so. Those are the foundations that have taken them to the top of the ladder with a 12-1-1 record for the season.

The Panthers are unchanged from last week's win.

The Panthers team for Friday is below:

1. Dylan Edwards 2. Josh Mansour 3. Tyrone May 4. Stephen Crichton 5. Brent Naden 6. Jarome Luai 7. Nathan Cleary 8. James Tamou 9. Apisai Koroisau 10. James Fisher-Harris 11. Viliame Kikau 12. Liam Martin 13. Isaah Yeo 14. Daine Laurie 15. Spencer Leniu 16. Moses Leota 17. Zane Tetevano 18. Mitch Kenny 19. Brian To’o 20. Matt Burton 21. Billy Burns

Sharks Form & Team News

Cronulla Sharks boosted their finals hopes with a 30-18 victory over Gold Coast Titans last weekend, a result which leaves them sat in seventh place on the ladder with an 8-6 record.

In a congested middle section in the standings, the Sharks are two points from fourth place and two points from 10th.

The Sharks, who rank second in scoring this campaign, have won four of their last five matches since being beaten 56-24 by Penrith in July.

Like the Panthers, the Sharks are also unchanged.

The Sharks team for Friday is below:

1. Will Kennedy 2. Sione Katoa 3. Josh Dugan 4. Jesse Ramien 5. Ronaldo Mulitalo 6. Matt Moylan 7. Shaun Johnson 8. Braden Hamlin-Uele 9. Blayke Brailey 10. Aaron Woods 11. Siosifa Talakai 12. Wade Graham 13. Toby Rudolf 14. Connor Tracey 15. Scott Sorensen 16. Jack Williams 17. Royce Hunt 18. Teig Wilton 19. Briton Nikora 20. Braydon Trindall 21. Bryson Goodwin
