Who stood out and who caught the eye across the NRL Round 5? Tony "Moley" Adams picks out his top five performers from the weekend action.
1. Jye Gray (Rabbitohs)
Souths’ mighty mite was at it again, absorbing massive Roosters pressure, running more metres than any player on the field and scoring a vital try.
2. Zac Lomax (Eels)
Ran for nearly 200 metres but more importantly, landed the field goal that won Parra their first game...against his former club.
3. Isaiya Katoa (Dolphins)
Led his team in running metres - a rare feat for a halfback - and kept finding chinks in the Titans defence around the rucks.
4. Patrick Carrigan (Broncos)
Played prop but after topping the Broncos’ tackle count and run metres against the Tigers with his remarkable motor, had to be in the team.
5. Hudson Young (Raiders)
More than made up for spending time in the sin bin with two tries and a major role in the spectacular late try that downed the Sharks.
