NRL Minor Premiership Winner Odds 2024 - Which side will top the NRL ladder in 2024?

The Penrith Panthers squeezed to a Minor Premiership triumph in 2023 and they are $2.60 with Elitebet to repeat the trick and secure another Minor Premiership win, but are they the side to back? 

The Penrith Panthers are seen as one of the most likely candidates to finish at the summit of the ladder in 2024 at $2.60 despite losing 8-0 in their opening match against current favourites the Storm ($1.50). They were pushed all the way in 2023 by a Brisbane Broncos side that are someway off the pace at this stage. 

The Sydney Roosters ($51.00) and Cronulla Sharks ($51.00) are also in contention to top the ladder, but they are a long way short of the top-two. 

With only four sides available at less than $100.00. clearly the race to top the ladder in the regular season is not between the Storm, Panthers, Roosters and Sharks. 

After the first 17 rounds, the Storm, Panthers and Sharks top the ladder, although no side has gone unbeaten this term. 

Winning the Minor Premiership is not the be-all and end-all in the season, with sides sometimes running out of steam once they win the Minor Premiership as they get nowhere near winning the Grand Final. 

While the Panthers won both Premierships last season, they were pushed all the way across the season. Indeed, the Broncos finished level on points with the Panthers in the regular season before the latter edged to a 26-24 win over the former in the Grand Final. 

With the gap between the top sides and the rest shrinking, this year it really could be anyone's title. In 2023, the Storm and Warriors both finished with 38 points, meaning they were four points behind the leaders. Meanwhile, all of the Knights, Sharks, Roosters, Raiders, Rabbitohs, Eels and Cowboys picked up 30 points or more.
