The Panther’s winger is the heavy favourite as first tryscorers go paying around $8.00 in most books and at best $9.75.
To’o has an incredible record in Finals Footy at Accor Stadium, scoring 10 tries in his last 8 matches in the postseason at the venue.
Only Sunia Turuva has scored more tries than To’o this season for Penrith with the Samoan scoring 14 tries this year with 3 four-pointers being the first of the game. To’o has been the first tryscorer 16 times in his career.
Ryan Papenhuyzen (Melbourne Storm) $13.00 PlayUp
The Storm fullback is hitting is stride at the right time of the year and looks to have overcome the injury battles he has had over the past couple of season. Paps scored two tries against the Roosters in the Preliminary Finals and was the first try scorer for Melbourne (not in the game).
The Storm fullback will be in the crux of the first raid for Melbourne and will be lurking out the back of the line and looking for a straight path to the line.
Papenhuyzen has been the first try scorer in 2 matches this season and has scored 13 tries in 19 matches for the Storm in 2024
Eliesa Katoa (Melbourne Storm) $18.00 Elitebet
The Storm second rower has been a constant target for the Storm this season and finished second in tries for forwards behind Jeremiah Nanai, currently on 12 four-pointers for the 2024 year.
Katoa has had a knack for finding the line, if that is from a little kick from his halves or running a strong line on the edge and finding the gap left by slow movement on the inside of the defensive line.
The Tongan will be a target for the Storm halves all over the field and Katoa’s dual threat through the air and on the ground will be a feature close to the line and is a good chance to break this game open early.

The Panthers’ Brian To’o is a strong favourite to score first in the 2024 NRL Grand Final, while the Storm’s Ryan Papenhuyzen and Eliesa Katoa are also predicted to be in with a chance.
