Gold Coast Titans vs South Sydney Rabbitohs Tips

While the Gold Coast Titans are a much better side at home, last weekend's no show tempers enthusiasm that they can cover with a +6.5 handicap. I expect them to keep it much closer, but for the Rabbitohs to come out on top by 1-12 points.

  • Gold Coast Titans have lost 2 of their last 3 matches.
  • Gold Coast Titans have lost their last 4 matches against South Sydney Rabbitohs.
  • South Sydney Rabbitohs have won their last 5 matches.
  • South Sydney Rabbitohs have scored 26+ points in 4 of their last 5 matches.

Head To Head

South Sydney Rabbitohs have won 10 of the last 12 matches against Gold Coast Titans, including the last four in a row.

In the only meeting last season, Souths ran in five tries in a 32-12 victory over the Titans.

Gold Coast Titans Form

Gold Coast Titans had an afternoon to forget in Mudgee last week as they were crushed 36-0 by the previously winless Manly Sea Eagles.

The Titans conceded four tries in a 15-minute first-half burst and there was no coming back as they slipped to a third defeat of the season.

They also went down 20-4 defeat to Canberra Raiders in Round 4 before bouncing back 42-16 demolition of the Newcastle Knights last weekend.

The Titans are turning into a Jekyll and Hyde team, but which one will turn up on Friday at Cbus Super Stadium?

South Sydney Rabbitohs Form

South Sydney moved to second place on the ladder with a fifth straight win last weekend, but needed extra-time to achieve it.

The Rabbitohs finished level at 14-14 with Wests Tigers, but Tom Burgess' try two minutes into extra-time sealed the victory and took Souths to 5-1 for the campaign.

Souths have also beaten Manly Sea Eagles, Sydney Roosters, Canterbury Bulldogs and Brisbane Broncos in their winning run.

The only defeat of the season came in the opening game, a 26-18 loss to defending premiers Melbourne Storm.
