A loss this week for either team will pretty much ensure that they can close the book on 2023 and start looking ahead to next season, if they haven't already.
The Knights just have a little more attacking strike power than the Dogs which will give them the edge and help them cover the 2.5 points as favourites. I am following the trend of the under, trusting in history to cash me in.

Since 2019, it has been a pretty even head-to-head battle between Canterbury and Newcastle with the Knights winning four games to the Doggies' three victories.
Although the head-to-head result is close the game results are not, with a margin of six points or more in the last seven games.
Also to note, the under has hit in six of the seven matches played since 2019.

The Bulldogs have been on struggle street all season after suffering some key injuries early in the year.
Both their attack and defence has had it's problems placing second last in the standings for both points for and against.
