Canberra face the Titans this weekend with Des Hasler’s troops still winless this season and they will remain that way with the task of beating the Raiders at GIO on Sunday too large for the struggling Gold Coast side.

Playing down in Canberra is a tough task, but none more so than meeting the Milk on a Sunday afternoon in front of their boisterous clan that are cheering on the new talent leading their team. Matt Timoko has to be up there as one of the best centres in the competition now and his hard running is going to attract a lot of attention from the Titans. Even with the defence keeping a close eye on the 24-year-old I still see him crossing for another try.

Canberra has been one of the surprise packets of 2024 so far for mine. I had them pegged to regress this season but Ricky Stuart has built a culture of belief and the Raiders are playing much better footy than expected and getting a lot of improvement from their younger guys.
