Canterbury Bulldogs pulled off an upset win last week and bid to topple minor premiers Penrith Panthers in the final game of the season at ANZ Stadium on Saturday. The Panthers will bid for a 15th straight win to take into the finals, while the Bulldogs will finish second bottom regardless of the outcome of this game.

Bulldogs Form & Team News

Canterbury Bulldogs shocked the finals-bound South Sydney Rabbitohs last weekend with a 26-16 upset win to end a seven-game losing streak.

It was just the Bulldogs' third victory of the season, but ensured they will avoid the wooden spoon and finish in 15th. That is unless they go down by a 177-point margin against the Panthers.

The Bulldogs name an unchanged side, but do make a tactical switch as Josh Jackson moved to lock and Chris Smith starts in the second row.

Panthers Form & Team News

The Panthers wrapped up the minor premiership last week with a club record 14th straight win as they thumped the North Queensland Cowboys 32-12 in Townsville.

Having dropped just three points all season with one defeat and a draw accompanying 17 victories, the Panthers have been the stand out performers. They are expected to continue their run and head into the finals on the back of another win.

With one eye on the finals, the Panthers have rested Dylan Edwards, Viliame Kikau and Stephen Crichton. Charlie Staines moves to fullback, Tyrone May starts in the centres and Kurt Capewell has been named in the second row.

James Tamou returns for the Panthers at prop and Api Koroisau comes back into the hooker role. That means Moses Leota is on the bench along with Zane Tetevano and Matt Burton, while Mitch Kenny drops to the reserves along with Jack Hetherington
