The Brisbane Broncos were on the receiving end of a 46-6 scoreline as they lost to Parramatta Eels in Darwin last weekend.

It was a fourth straight loss for the Broncos since defeating Canterbury Bulldogs for their only win of the campaign.

The Broncos have suffered heavy defeats against Melbourne Storm and South Sydney Rabbitohs as well as the Eels.

Kevin Walters' side did put up a better effort in their last home game. Leaders Penrith Panthers needed a 78th minute try to put the seal on a 20-12 victory at Suncorp Stadium.

Anthony Milford and Tyson Gamble return in the halves for the Broncos, while Jesse Arthars comes back into the starting line up for David Mead.

Mead drops to the reserves, where he is joined the dropped Brodie Croft and recovering John Asiata as he closes in a return to action.

Captain Alex Glenn is set for a number of weeks on the sidelines with a calf injury. Kotoni Staggs, Dale Copley and Ben Te'o also remain out.

Tom Dearden is left out after signing for the North Queensland Cowboys from 2022 onwards.

Gold Coast Titans Form


Defensive troubles cost the Gold Coast Titans last weekend as they lost 40-30 to South Sydney Rabbitohs in a game of 11 tries.

It was a second straight loss having gone down 36-0 to Manly Sea Eagles in Round 6.

Justin Holbrook’s side also lost 20-4 at home to the Canberra Raiders in the last month, after which they were 42-16 winners at home to Newcastle Knights.

Anthony Don is named on the wing after overcoming a hip injury. 

Phillip Sami comes into the centres for the injured Patrick Herbert, and Beau Fermor and Tanah Boyd are added to the reserves.

Tino Fa'asuamaleaui remains suspended and misses the game along with injured pair Sam Lisone and Herbert.

Herman Ese'ese is set to make his Titans debut after taking Lisone's place on the interchange.
