The 49ers season was effectively ended last weekend as they went down in a 38-10 game against fellow wild-card rivals Green Bay. With their chances to make play-offs now reduced to 16% there would need to be a few miracles as we hurtle towards Christmas.
Brock Purdy missed the game against the Packers and it was evident that the depth at the QB position is not something the 49ers have focused on in recruitment. Brandon Allen completed 17 of 29 passes for 199 yards with 1 TD and 1 INT and was sacked twice for a 76.7 rating.
Defensively, San Francisco had trouble containing the run game of Green Bay, allowing 169 yards off 42 rush attempts with Josh Jacobs crossing for 3 TD’s in the game.
The 49ers rank 13th in scoring but 20th in opposition points on the season. They have been one of the top rushing teams in the league at different periods of the season but have been severely affected by injuries.
Nick Bosa is still not participating in practice and there are a host of other names on the injury report including Brock Purdy, Charvarius Ward, Trent Williams and Christian McCaffrey.

The Bills pulled out one of the best wins of the season last week in a 30-21 victory over the previously undefeated Kansas City Chiefs. Buffalo set the scene early taking an interception from Pat Mahomes on his first pass of the game. Josh Allen then took the team from their own 35 up the ground to score a TD after just 5 minutes of play.
They were briefly behind by 1 point on two occasions during the match but showed tenacity in the face of pressure. Allen completed 27 passes from 40 attempts for 262 yards for 1 TD and 1 INT. His o-line kept him from hitting the deck while the defensive did their job getting to Mahomes on two occasions.
In addition to the 2 sacks, the Bills secondary took 2 interceptions and also held the Chiefs rush defence to just 78 yards from 17 attempts. They rank 7th in opposition points, allowing just 19.5 per game while scoring 29.1 on their own accord, 3rd most in the NFL.
Dalton Kincaid is the only injury worry heading into week 13. He registered a DNP earlier in the week.
