The Patriots were an overtime away from starting the season 2-0 after losing a tight one against Seattle last week with their run game the highlight, just as it was in their week one win against the Bengals. New York got away with a rusty win against the Titans with Aaron Rodgers once again failing to impress in his return season with his lack of mobility putting him under all sorts of pressure.

The strength for New England is the rush on both sides of the ball. The combination of Antonio Gibson and Rhamondre Stevenson has been proven to be deadly for the opposition with the Patriots averaging the fifth most rushing yards of any team in the NFL.
The Patriots defence has averaged the second least yards against allowing their opposition just 58 yards on the ground per game in the first two weeks.

More of a disappointment has been the New York defence which is ranked 25th in rushing yards against and 17th in passing yards against in the opening two weeks of the season, which is far from being the second-best team against the air attack in 2023.
