A battle of two quite average teams in Monday Night Football this week. Purely based on the most recent form of both these teams I believe Miami will be able to score more points and win the game by a close margin.

The Dolphins almost secured a win over the Bills in Buffalo last weekend, a feat they haven’t been able to achieve for a number of years. Tua is easing back into his role following time off with concussion and they now come up against an LA defence that is allowing 24.3 points per game.

You can expect this Rams offence to test Miami’s defence both through the air and on the ground where they have allowed 52.63% of opposition TD’s this season, 4th most of any team in the NFL.
My expectation is that the game will see a lot of points but that Miami have the ability and roster to score more across the park. Total Over, Tua to throw a couple scores and Williams to rediscover the end-zone.

Miami could probably count themselves a little unlucky to not get away with a win last weekend against Buffalo in their divisional matchup.
They led the game up until the end of the 3rd quarter and drew level on a 4 minute 40 sec, 81 yard drive late in the 4th quarter. Their poor defence though could not hold out a last minute drive from Josh Allen which led to their opponents getting into position for a game winning FG as the final seconds elapsed.
The Dolphins are a totally different team with Tua starting at QB. They average 257 passing yards with Tua starting and 136 passing yards without him. Star WR Tyreek Hill has also suffered without the main playcaller having only 1 touchdown midway through the season.
On the defensive end Miami allowed their opponent last week to score on 5 consecutive drives from just before half time until the end of the game. That is not going to win you games and as the 17th ranked scoring defence they have a lot to fix if they are going to be a chance at snagging a play-offs spot.

Los Angeles Rams Form
The LA Rams have slowly started to put some wins on the board and come into this weekend with a 4-4 record and real shot to win their division if they can keep the momentum going. They aren’t lighting up any of the rankings being in the 20’s in most offensive and defensive measures but are doing all they need to secure a win here and there.
LA had 366 yards of offence against Seattle last weekend with Matt Stafford throwing 2 TD’s in the 26-20 victory. With Cooper Kupp back in the fray the Rams had a more balanced attack with Kyren Williams taking 22 runs and Kupp having 14 targets.
It was the defence though that got them over the line sacking opposing QB Geno Smith 7 times and taking 3 interceptions. Kamren Kinchens returned one of his 2 interceptions for a 103 yard TD with 11 minutes to go in the game as the Seahawks had first & goal at the LA 6 yard line.
