Los Angeles Rams @ Seattle Seahawks Tips
The Los Angeles Rams are human after all as they suffered their first loss of the season against the Arizona Cardinals. While a loss is bad enough the fact that Kyle Murray found holes in the Rams defence, who let up 216 rushing yards, is a major wake up call.
The Seahawks responded from their loss to the Minnesota Vikings with a seven point win over the San Francisco 49ers, and are now only one win behind the Rams in the NFC West Division.
- The Seattle Seahawks are last in the NFL for Net Yards Per Game, leaking 444.5 per game
- The LA Rams are ranked 10th in the NFL for offensive Net Yards Per Game, averaging 391.3 per game
- The LA Rams are ranked fourth in the NFL for offensive Net Passing Yards Per Game with 298.3
Head to Head
In their last 10 meetings, the LA Rams have won six games compared to four from the Seahawks.
In their last five however, the Rams still lead the head-to-head count with three wins.
The Rams won the most recent meeting against the Seahawks in December last year, defeating the Seahawks 30-20.
Los Angeles Rams Form
All good things must come to an end, and for the Rams that occurred in week 4 as their undefeated start to the season finally came crashing down with a loss to the Arizona Cardinals.
The Rams are coming off a 37-20 defeat, which is the most points the Rams defence has let in this season. The other major problem in defence is that they gave away 465 yards in the 17-point defeat.
Los Angeles Rams Team News
Tight ends Johnny Mundt and Tyler Higbee, running back Darrell Henderson and safety Taylor Rapp all had limited practice.
Seattle Seahawks Form
The Seahawks have already had a topsy-turvy start to the season with a 2-2 record.
The Seahawks had an opening weekend win over the Indianapolis Colts defeating them 28-16.
However, their next two weeks saw some concern for Pete Carroll’s men as they suffered back-to-back losses to the Tennessee Titans, going down 33-30, and to the Minnesota Vikings, losing 30-17 in week 3.
They seemed to rectify their mistakes from the previous two weeks as they came away with a 28-21 win over the San Francisco 49ers last week, largely thanks to quarterback Russell Wilson who threw two touchdown passes and 149 yards.
The major concern though is that they gave away 457 yards in the seven-point win.
Seattle Seahawks Team News
Wide receiver D’Wayne Eskridge and runningback Chris Carson did not compete in the team’s practice.
While wide receiver DK Metcalf, linebacker Carlos Dunlap and defensive end Darrell Taylor all had limited practice.
Safeties Jamal Adams and Marquise Blair, linebackers Benson Mayowa and Cody Barton, tackles Jamarco Jones and Brandon Shell and wide receiver Penny Hart were all at full training.
