The Commanders have not beaten Cleveland since 2016 and to be honest they probably haven’t beaten many teams since 2016 but they are a totally different team this season, led by rookie QB Jayden Daniels.
Brian Robinson Jr is having a breakout year at the RB position and his dominance will continue up against a Browns rush defence that has struggled to contain even the most paltry rush offences. Add to that Daniels’ ability to read the game and scramble at will, it will keep the opposition defence guessing all game long.
Cleveland will probably get their opportunities to put up some points in this one, I just question their ability to convert those opportunities based on the previous 4 weeks of play.

The Browns have had a rollercoaster of a year already and we are barely a quarter of the way through. There were questions whether QB Deshaun Watson would start the season due to injury and when it was confirmed he was going to play all bets were on again. A pitiful showing in week 1 against the Cowboys was partially rectified in week 2 with a win over the Jags but since then Cleveland have been terrible.
They managed only 15 points in a loss against the Giants in week 3 on only 217 Total Yards of offence going 4-14 on 3rd down conversions. Then last weekend against the Raiders they fumbled a 10 point first quarter lead to lose the game 20-16 again with only 241 Total Yards in offence.
This team was once a juggernaut on the ground, they had the best Rush game and the best Rush defence. They are now a shell of their former selves ranking 27th in points, 26th in Rush yards and 19th in Rush Defence.

I don’t think anyone, even the Commanders themselves could have predicted this kind of start from their team. 3-1 after four weeks of play sees them leading the NFC East whilst sitting 3rd in the league for Points Scored per game.
Rookie QB Jayden Daniels has the highest Pass Completion Rate of anyone in the NFL at 82.1% with the Commanders having scored on 20 of 22 drives over their past 3 games that haven’t been end of half or end of game possessions. It is an amazing turnaround for a team that were at or near the bottom of many rankings in the pre-season.
Not only have the Commanders been good through the air, they are the 3rd best Rush Team averaging 169 yards per game. On the defensive end, things aren’t as bright with Washington ranked 22nd in Opposition Pass Yards and 23rd in Opposition Rush Yards. But hey when you are scoring as much as they are, who needs defence right?
