The Bears are looking to get their first win since October 11 when they claimed the last of their three wins for the season over the Las Vegas Raiders.

The Lions are looking to get their first win on the board for the season as their best result so far has been a 16-16 tie against the Pittsburgh Steelers in week 10 that not even overtime could help find a winner.

The pressure is certainly on Matt Nagy to get his side firing and this could be the game to do as they take on a Detroit side that has not won a game this season. However, the Bears are not in a position to take this game lightly as they have lost five consecutive games.

The Bears lost to the Baltimore Ravens on Monday, going down 16-13 as they suffered their seventh loss for the season. What hurts even more is that rookie quarterback Justin Fields suffered an injury and will miss this game against the Lions as the Bears welcome back Andy Dalton as the starter QB.

The Bears' running game was on show against the Ravens and their defence was outstanding too, especially in the first quarter as neither team scored. In the second term, the Ravens gained more yardage, but had just two field goals to show for it.

After so much resistance, the Bears were the first team to score a touchdown when Dalton passed the ball to Darnell Mooney as he rushed for a touchdown in the third quarter for three quarter time lead of 7-6.

As the clock was ticking down in the final quarter, the Bears looked more and more comfortable and this was evident when Dalton threw his second touchdown pass with a 1.40 remaining as the Bears made the scores 13-9.

However, the Ravens were never out of the contest as they scored their first touchdown in a timely manner as Devonta Freeman crossed the endzone with 22 seconds left to give Baltimore the win.

Fields left the game in the third quarter and completed four passes from 11 attempts and threw 79 yards. Dalton replaced him for the remainder of the game and completed 11 from 23 attempts, throwing 201 yards and throwing two touchdown passes.

The Lions haven’t had much to cheer for this season, as their best result was an overtime tie against the Steelers. They have suffered four defeats in their last five games.

The Lions started last week's defeat against the Cleveland Browns, handing them too much space as Baker Mayfield was finding players and passes at his will. However, one of the brightest moments came when Amani Oruwariye intercepted a Mayfield pass.

Both sides couldn’t really capitalise on their yardage in the first quarter, as they went into quarter time scoreless. But that was short lived as Jarvis Landry crossed the end zone to open the scoring for the Browns.

After building pressure, the Browns got their second touchdown when Mayfield got his second touchdown pass when he threw it to Nick Chubb to extend their lead to 13-0 just before the main break.

After showing glimpses, the Lions finally hit the scoreboard when they scored their first touchdown as D’Andre Swift rushed a 57-yard touchdown and got the extra point as they made the score 13-7 late in the third quarter.

Detroit then started to play more cohesively intercepting Mayfield’s passes, and their running game was showing dividends as they gained good yardage. They scored a field goal with seven minutes remaining, but that was the last of the attacking plays as both teams defended heavily in the remaining minutes.

The short lived comeback by the Lions wasn’t enough as the Browns held on to a 13-10 win. Despite the defeat the Lions can take great pride in their performance especially their defensive structures as they kept the Browns scoreless for three quarters.

The Buffalo Bills @ New Orleans Saints starts at 04.30am AEDT on Friday, November 26.

While the Bears can not take this game lightly, they looked a much better side when Andy Dalton came onto the park last week. They have to be wary of the defence of the Lions, but the Bears to win...just.
