Melbourne Vixens vs NSW Swifts (Saturday @ 3:00pm at John Cain Arena)
Melbourne takes on NSW Swifts to begin Round 10 in the Suncorp Super Netball. First placed Swifts should be too strong for the eighth placed Vixens, despite giving up the home court advantage due to the COVID-19 outbreak in New South Wales. Last week the Swifts defeated fourth placed Fever by one goal due to some smart play from goal attack Sophie Garbin at the death. Meanwhile the Vixens will be full of confidence after defeating the then first placed Sunshine Coast by three goals at John Cain Arena.
Match Odds (Ladbrokes): Melbourne Vixens $5.00 vs NSW Swifts $1.17
West Coast Fever vs Sunshine Coast Lightning (Saturday @ 8:00pm at RAC Arena)
We expect the Fever to bounce back and defeat the Lightning on Saturday at RAC Arena after a heartbreaking one goal loss against the Swifts last weekend. West Coast were down by nine goals at three quarter time against NSW last week, although, they would only lose by one goal due a resurgent last term. Sunshine Coast lost top spot last week due to an upset three goal loss to the eighth placed Vixens. Goal shooter Steph Wood was on sung last week for the Thunderbirds, shooting 15 goals at 100%.
Match Odds (Ladbrokes): West Coast Fever $1.17 vs Sunshine Coast Lightning $5.00
Adelaide Thunderbirds vs Queensland Firebirds (Sunday @ 1:00pm at Netball SA Stadium)
Adelaide host Queensland at Netball SA Stadium on Sunday. With both teams one win outside the top the top, both sides will be desperate for a win. The Thunderbirds are fresh off an eight-goal victory against Collingwood, with wing attack Maisie Nankivell playing a great game with 41 assists. The Firebirds will also head into the match with plenty of belief after downing the Giants by 11 goals, with shooters Romelda Aiken (39) and Gretel Bueta (23) making the most of their opportunities.
Match Odds (Ladbrokes): Adelaide Thunderbirds $2.70 vs Queensland Firebirds $1.46
Collingwood Magpies vs Giants Netball (Sunday @ 3:00pm at John Cain Arena)
Collingwood will host the Giants in Melbourne at John Cain Arena on Sunday. In round 9 the Giants were comprehensively defeated by the Thunderbirds 63-52. Collingwood also lost last week, succumbing to the Thunderbirds by eight goals. Magpie goal shooter Shimona Nelson was among the best, shooting 29 goals at 93%. We expect the Giants to bounce back and defeat Collingwood, potentially clinching top spot.
Match Odds (Ladbrokes): Collingwood Magpies $3.50 vs Giants Netball $1.30
