Wyong Racing Tips For May 14 2020

Provincial New South Wales racing will be hosted by Wyong on Thursday where there is a good chance of rain on Thursday.

The rail is in the 3m position and the track is currently in the Good 4 range.

Wyong Best Bet

Race 6 No. 7 Sarah Elizabeth

We supported this daughter of Sebring off excellent trials leading into her November debut last year and she duly saluted before being tipped out.

Whilst she didn't necessarily beat much on that occasion, her ability to pick up strongly when asked the question and finishing powerfully was that of a filly with a future.

It's worth forgiving the fresh return this campaign on April 28 at Hawkesbury where she was held up for much of the straight and as soon the gap was about to present, was put straight back into a pocket and was galloped on in the process.

Drawing out a little more in eight should only assist Grant Buckley getting clear room on Sarah Elizabeth and launching late as the best bet at Wyong.

Wyong Value Bet

Race 7 No. 5 Ondo Pasa

Another girl that's been good to us (December 12 winner at $10) is this honest mare from the local stable of Stan Thomas who resumed with a nice second over the 1100m here on April 30.

Whilst that trip is a little on the short side for her, that was arguably a stronger field where she put two lengths on Dual Escape (BM70 winner in March) and further on Sausalito who's been very competitive in some leading country sprints.

Ondo Pasa's last campaign included a third placing behind Missybeel (subsequent group three winner) and later, a close defeat behind Ready's Girl (since won a BM70 before a Group Three tilt).

If the rain comes, they should be looking to come off the fence later in the card which will only suit Ondo Pasa over this suitable further trip and she represents value in the last at Wyong.
