Read the reasons for our selections below:
Eagle Farm - Race 2 No. 1 Redoute's Image
This mare was well supported at the Sunshine Coast last start and she got the job done with Craig Williams in the saddle, who sticks with her today.
When the girls find form, we want to be sticking with them, especially considering the dominance of that last start win.
Redoute's Image is going to find a gun spot from gate four and with a leading rider aboard, she makes it hard to tip against her.
Rosehill - Race 3 No. 1 Sweet Thomas
The only winner over two miles in this field is SWEET THOMAS who comfortably saluted in this race last year with 60kg and is carrying that same impost here for what is a slightly weaker field if anything. Building nicely off three efforts so far this preparation, the veteran is going every bit as well this time around and he's a stayer that handles any conditions.
Caulfield - Race 5 No. 6 I'm Thunderstruck
I'M THUNDERSTRUCK is by far the best horse in this race and really should be winning based off the dominance of his last victory at Sale. That win was over 1208m and he now steps up to 1440m, where he is much more suited, and even will be over further once he gets more racing under the belt.
Rosehill - Race 7 No. 10 Great House
After recording a big win in his second Australian start, GREAT HOUSE failed in two subsequent efforts although it's certainly worth respecting the $2.50 SP against Yonkers and Realm Of Flowers. Class overcame the 1500m trip first-up and the rise to 1800m along with staying on wet ground is ideal. Is the most progressive runner in the field and he's down to 55.5kg. Best of the day.
Caulfield - Race 9 No. 14 The Gauch
THE GAUCH was fantastic first-up when winning at this track and trip. He is unbeaten second-up and has form on wet ground while he Matt Cartwright claim gets him in well at the weights. This gelding can again punch forward and he appeals as one of the better bets on the meeting.
