Bosson had the option to pilot Melody Belle after guiding her to a fourth placing in the Doncaster Mile but elected to ride on Te Akau Shark, hoping to add a second Australian Group One win to the horse's resume.
Australian jockey Kerrin McEvoy will take the ride on Melody Belle ahead of Saturday's feature.
Fortuna Syndicate manager John Galvin confirmed Melody Belle make the short turn around following Saturday's run.
“The Queen Elizabeth was her primary goal and we needed to find a race between the All-Star Mile and the Queen Elizabeth Stakes," Galvin told NZ Racing Desk.
"She did her best under the weight and if she backs up next week in the Queen Elizabeth, which is our plan, she will be back to weight-for-age and up to 2000 metres.”
Melody Belle is currently an $11 chance with Sportsbetting.com.au to win the 2020 Queen Elizabeth Stakes with Te Akau Shark is a $4.40 third favourite.
Galvin said that the combination of the 57kg alongside a luckless run in transit made it difficult for Melody Belle to sustain her run in the Doncaster.
“We didn’t get any luck, but she loomed on the turn and she looked like a strong winning chance with 300 metres to go," he said.
"The lighter weighted horses just ran past her in the last little bit."
