Sandown Racing Tips For March 18 - Can Hidden Legend sneak up on punters?

Sandown hosts eight races on Wednesday under twilight conditions.

The rail sits out nine metres and the track is a good four rating.

Our best of the day is a progressive galloper in the seventh while a horse on the up will be hard to beat in the third event.

Sandown Best Bet

Race 7 No. 8 Hidden Legend

This galloper from the John Sadler stable was ultra impressive in town last start, finding little luck at Moonee Valley, but still finishing just over a length behind Foxy Lady.

He has had a four week freshen up coming into this race, and takes an extra 100m step up in distance which looks as if it will suit from the way he has hit the line.

The outside gate means he will settle back last and hope that he can swoop on the opposition on the long Sandown straight.

He looks a top horse in the making and we will soon be seeing the penny drop, and therefore is my best bet of the day.

Sandown Next Best Bet

Race 3 No. 6 Kentucky Tornado

She looks incredibly well suited in this race, licking a field last start where the second and third place getters have both since won.

She goes up in grade (and rightly so) and draws an inside gate and finds herself on the minimum.

The daughter of Mizzen Mast looks to get a comfortable lead here with Mitrust either sitting on her outside or getting the slip in behind that horse.

It does looks a three horse race and based on race patterns and the pace I am expecting in the race, this mare looks to be the most suited and your most likely winner of the race.
