Sandown Racing Tips June 24 - Can Pinyin grab a deserved win?

Sandown hosts eight races on the Hillside track on Wednesday, where the track is expected to be well into the heavy range.

The rail sits out three metres, but expect horses to come off the fence early and for the best ground to keep getting wider on the track as the day goes by.

Ladbrokes Switch Handicap (Race 7)

Sandown Best Bet - Race 7 No. 7 Pinyin

This mare is as consistent as they come, but just struggles to find the line first.

Again, she was solid in her return to the track four weeks ago at Flemington, finishing third in her favoured wet conditions behind a horse called Alfa Oro who looks promising.

Second-up, she has posted a win and two seconds from three starts, including an unlucky second last prep behind News Girl at Caulfield.

She gets the heavy conditions and a long straight, a track that she has performed well on in the past.

Will Price brings her weight down from 59kg to 56kg, getting her well in.

On form and with conditions in her favour, she is the best bet of the day at Sandown.

Ladbrokes Cash In Handicap (Race 8)

Sandown Next Best Bet - Race 8 No. 1 Yeldarb

This known wet tracker again strikes a heavy surface where he looks to have a big weight, but the main chances are all compressed in the weights, so it is more a matter of who handles the track the best.

He scored on the Lakeside track last start on May 24, showcasing an explosive turn of foot over the final 100m.

He steps up to the 1300m now (from 1200m) which looks as if it will suit.

Tahlia Hope stays in the saddle who is yet to miss the top two aboard him, so they are a strong combination together.

With the breaks at the right time, he can score two wins on end.
