Sandown Racing Tips - Can Hidden Legend remain unbeaten on a heavy surface?

Sandown hosts eight races on their Lakeside track on what is expected to be a heavy 9-10.

We need to work with horses who have experience on the wet track as the safest bets of the day and to keep an eye on how the track is playing early on and how it deteriorates during the day.

Ladbrokes Cash In Handicap 9 (Race 8)

Sandown Best Bet - Race 8 No. 4 Hidden Legend

A last start dominant 64 winner in what looks a handy race on a heavy rated track.

He is yet to miss a place from five starts in wet conditions and has been so consistent with some very strong form lines around him.

Off a five-week freshen up, he will be ready to once again slog it out on a heavy track against many horses who are quite questionable on the surface.

A natural pace horse, he draws barrier two with in-form apprentice Will Price on board who will bring his weight down to 56kg.

He looks to be better horse than his opposition, but we just need to hope that the inside is still a good place to be come the last race.

Ladbrokes Same Race Multi Handicap (Race 6)

Sandown Next Best Bet - Race 6 No. 3 Oriental Lily

Tipping a Yulong horse is always dangerous territory, but this filly has class and loves it wet.

Looking at her last three runs by where she has finished, you would have doubts over how well she is going, but her form on good tracks is very poor and she always improves as it gets wetter.

She was three lengths off Liberate last start at Flemington on May 16, not too far away from Charleise who will likely start favourite in this with a 1.5kg weight swing in Lily's favour.

With so many horses having question marks in the heavy ground, Oriental Lily looks great value with plenty in her favour coming into this run.
