Sandown Racing Tips For May 13 - Can Teramia show her potential?

Sandown hosts eight races on Wednesday, with some very progressive types set to battle in soft conditions.

We are racing on the Hillside track which we know gives horses their chance whether they are on the pace or out the back.

Lindsay Park have a nice colt coming through in the first race while McEvoy have a powerful filly ready to unleash over 100m in the fifth event.

Sandown Best Bet

Race 5 No. 9 Teramia

This filly from Deep Field looks to have a world full of potential after an impressive first-up victory at Geelong on April 26.

She jumped out really well leading into that performance and brought that to race day, smashing her rivals in one stride by over two lengths.

Jamie Kah rode her that day and will once again take the reigns in an effort to remain unbeaten aboard the filly.

The first-up run would have done her the world of good, giving her the confidence to now step up to city class and prove the best bet of the day at Sandown.

Sandown Next Best Bet

Race 1 No. 1 Dark Horse

This 2YO Colt from the Lindsay Park stable looks to ooze quality reflecting on his recent jumpout on April 17.

The winner of that heat was a subsequent Group Three place getter and this boy may be just as good.

He has shown some good early toe in the jumpouts, so we should expect to see him leading this race or behind the leader from the inside gate.

Drawing inside and having the rail as a guide in the long straight will help grow his confidence in his first start, striking a race that does not look overly deep on paper.
