Sandown Racing Tips For 4 December 2019 - Will Rapidora finish over the top?

We are back at Sandown on Wednesday for an eight race card on the Hillside track.

Being the longer straight, each horse will get their opportunity. The rail will be sitting at the six metre mark with the track currently in that Good 4 range, perfect for racing.

Sandown Favourites

Race 5 No. 7 Music Of The Night

Music Of The Night was backed off the map in her first-up run despite never placing across four attempts and managed to finish third in stylish fashion.

She now comes into the race second-up where her form reads a lot better having only missed the placings once in three runs, one of wich was against Group One winner Oregons Day.

She loves the Sandown track and coming into the race fitter and with a claim, I hold a lot more confidence in this mare.

Her only downfall is her win strike rate, having found one or two better than her eight times from 28 goes.

Sandown Roughies

Race 6 No. 4 Search Squad

He is as honest as the day is long.

It may only read a sixth placing last start, but he had little luck and always bobs up in a race like this at big odds.

His form this prep has been around better horses than these have been racing against so that again puts him right in the thick of things.

His winning strike rate makes it hard to tip him as he sit son around that 10 per cent mark, but he has been out of the winners stall for around seven runs now so hopefully we can see him somewhere in the finish at double figures.

Sandown Best Bet

Race 8 No. 7 Rapidora

This mare has been good this campaign and is unfortunate not to have a number of wins under her belt.

First-up, she was cast three wide on the pace but she still boxed on gamely to finish third before laying in down the straight at Moonee Valley behind Ambleve.

She almost looked a good thing beaten last-start at Sandown where she was boxed up until late where she got off the heels of flat horses and launched very late down the outside.

She was stuck on the rail during the run so James Winks will be sure to get her off here.

Fourth-up, she should be at peak fitness and barrier five should see her position beautifully off of the rail.

Sandown Next Best Bet

Race 1 No. 1 Beau Mec

This gallopers form has now been well and truly franked after Westbrook Park won so well at Moonee Valley last week.

He finished under a length away from a possible graded class stayer and was only a half length away the run before that.

On recent form, Beau Mec should not be a maiden for too much longer and if he can reproduce the same run as he did last start, I think he will win this race.

Michael Poy will use his 2kg city claim to get is weight down even more and he will be getting a cozy run in behind the leader from barrier two.
