Sandown Horse Racing Betting Tips, Preview & Odds - Will Choisborder relish the wet?

Sandown hosts eight races on Wednesday on what will be a very rain effected track on their Lakeside circuit.

Expect leaders to prove hard to run down and those who have shown wet track form and are fit to be hardest to beat.

Our roughie of the day is well over the odds in the third event while we are keen to follow the Lindsey Smith train in the sixth event.

Ladbrokes Handicap Tips (Race 3)

Sandown Roughie - Race 3 No. 9 Divine Honours

I had to blackbook this boy last start after an impressive win at Wangaratta, plowing through the heavy conditions.

He is a genuine wet tracker with both career best runs coming on heavy conditions, and while he is stepping up in class, the wet track brings him into conclusions.

He seems to have the ability to muster the early speed and settle forward in the wet, last start leading all the way and three back, on the pace, when beaten by Capital Zous who would start well in the market here.

From a wide gate, expect him to pus forward and lead with Diode in these conditions and give an almighty kick at the top of the straight.

Ladbrokes Switch Handicap Tips (Race 6)

Sandown Best Bet - Race 6 No. 3 Choisborder

Another genuine wet tracker who is drawn to settle in the box seat.

Having only missed the top three twice from 10 goes in the wet, this boy is a specialist who showed last start the ability to kick forward when needed.

Last week, he was only beaten just over a half length by Kalashani Lad who we know loves Sandown and had the track to suit.

Third-up, he will be ready to peak having won two from three starts at this time of the prep, and Lindsey Smith is low-flying at the moment so that adds to the confidence.

Will Price takes the mount and will take another 3kg off his back, bringing him right down in the weights for this assignment.

Expect a positive market push for him at jump time.
