The husband and wife training partnership of Ash & Amy Yargi have thus far been kicking goals in the 2020/21 racing season, striking at almost 20%, seemingly rejuvenating horses who were not firing for previous trainers.
After striking with promising ex-Hawkes galloper Holster at the end of December and kicking off with Dream Thoroughbreds' Be Amazing at Mornington on New Year's Day, they managed to claim yet another smart winner for the Dream team, Florescent Star.
She was a dominant winner at Stony Creek on Tuesday by 4.25 lengths, eased down, after putting together a promising preparation when last in work, finishing second to Stakes winner, Yes Baby Yes
Sent around as the $1.75 favourite in the four horse field, Florescent Star found the front and simply kept going under the saddle of Dean Holland who barely moved a muscle down the straight.
To the roars of her big all female ownership group, this took team Yargi's winners to a total of 13 for the season, along with 13 seconds and six thirds for the small stable.
The team look to be getting stronger each week with some very progressive horses coming through the grades, notably Florescent Star who looks destined for bigger races.
