Spanish Mission is clearly the banner horse heading into Saturday's Group Two Zipping Classic (2400m) after a Melbourne Cup placing last start under the care of Andrew Balding, now in the hands of team Moody who were able to transform a similar horse in Manighar into a WFA star.

He draws barrier four and is the clear favourite for the event ahead of Queen Elizabeth winner Warning (barrier one) who is being ridden to his strengths now up on the pace.

The field drops away quickly, but for the minors, Wentwood (barrier six) was placed behind Warning at his last start while Silen Sovereign (barrier three) backs up from last week's deadheat with Just Benjamin at Ballarat.

Last year's winner Sound (barrier two) is looking for a repat performance of last year, but a spot in the minors looks his best chance in a race that is expected to be a one-act affair.
