The son of Rubick showed some ability in his first prep, having made ground from the rear on debut in a midfield finish at Rosehill before racing wide at Warwick Farm.

He was runner-up to Rakomelo at start three prior to a spell, a galloper that was Group 3 placed as a juvenile, while Josh Parr has barrier three at his disposal here.

Wyong Roughie - Race 3 No. 8 The Hussonator

After the two short favs (Counter Move and Mr Kennedy) this maiden field does fall away, with this first starter having less convictions than most of her rivals.

The Hussonator comfortably held Lika Sun in a Newcastle Synthetic trial on May 17 and that filly almost resumed with a win, being only stride away from saluting fresh.

While she was more workmanlike in the Gosford heat that followed, the five-year-old responded to riding late there and she's playing at home for start one.

Wyong Best Bet - Race 5 No. 4 The Professor

It was a solid Kembla Grange debut over 1400m from The Professor, who was eased back to the rear from a wide draw in that May 13 attempt before getting warm late.

He improved off that with a fourth at Gosford over 1600m and didn't have much luck in the process, as he was bumped at the start and held-up at a key stage.

The son of Tavistock now gets the services of Jason Collett and if he's able to use the low draw early, then this gelding can breakthrough in what's a weak maiden.

Wyong Value Bet - Race 8 No. 1 Duke Of Gordon

Over 1250m in a handy metro BM72 at Canterbury, nothing was expected of this four-year-old fresh and the betting drift ($26-$51) reflected his chances there.

Duke Of Gordon hadn't placed below 1500m or attempted a trip under 1400m, so he's certainly open to improvement at 1600m and he won second-up last prep.

He's two from two over the Wyong mile and while those wins came on Heavy 10 surfaces, the John O'Shea galloper did salute in this grade on a Good 3 last spring.
