This lightly raced six-year-old is capable and that was evident at start three when defeating a talented Acid Wash via a Flemington straight-track affair.
Although he didn't deliver on that early promise, Gundaroo has still been competitive multiple times in this grade and his lead-up work has been encouraging.
He was held together via his first autumn workout, where Gundaroo beat home a city class Cindy Falls and a second hit-out was completed on May 7.
