Race 2 No. 11 Thinkxzo

The gelding has delivered top three finishes in two of his four starts to date including when runner-up at Bendigo on his penultimate start.

The selection got across from a wide barrier to race on the speed over 1400m on a good 4 track that day with the winner Sandwina going on to score at the same track subsequently.

The son of So You Think was well away when racing behind the pace before finishing a good fourth over the same track and trip in similar conditions later that month.

The pick’s ability to start well should stand him in good stead jumping from barrier fourteen and he shapes as if the extra distance here will suit.

Billy Egan on board for the first of the previously mentioned Ballarat starts is up here and connections decision to skip a race at Terang to head here can pay dividends.

Race 4 No. 8 Cincincity

The daughter of Ilovethiscity demonstrated ability when finishing third in a nine-runner maiden at Kyneton when making her debut in November.

The three-year-old was beaten just under four lengths when racing on a 1112m on a sound surface that day and she was spelled following that effort.

A prep effort when second in a Ballarat jumpout preceded a good fourth place finish when beaten just over one-and-a-half-lengths dropped to 1000m at Ballarat earlier this month.

The pick showed up well on that occasion when racing on a good 4 track and similar underfoot conditions are expected here.

The filly boasts a decent barrier in six here and she looks value to help trainer Robert Hickmott improve on his 26% strike-rate (10/38) with his runners at this course.

Race 6 No. 5 Posh I’m Not

The eight-year-old resumed with a sixth over 1000m at Echuca last month and he took a step forward when placing third in a Benchmark 0-64 handicap at Pakenham subsequently.

The gelding was stepped up to 1200m for that latest effort which saw him jump from widest of all in an eight-runner field.

Peter Smith’s representative is expected to race from behind the speed and he has attracted the early support support of Ladbrokes punters ($6.50-$4.80).

Stats Say:

The Anthony & Sam Freedman team do well at this venue and they can boast a 40% strike-rate (8/20) here this season.

The stable saddle just the one runner on the card with Exuma set to represent them in the fifth race of the day.

The three-year-old broke through for his first win when successful over track and trip in September and has since won at Werribee.

While disappointing twice since that Werribee success he is fitted with a tongue tie for the first time here and has a good barrier five from the rail.
