Sale Value Bet - Race 5 No. 4 Breasley
This gelding was a clear blackbooker after the way he hit the line last start at Cranbourne, storming home from the back of the field.
He came home with the fastest last 1000m of the meeting, pretty much racing at top speed for the middle two furlongs of the race.
Although his sectional speeds were slower, Breasley does race like a horse that is going to want a trip and a big track to balance up on and hit the line.
In a race where there does not look a standout selection, he can make his presence felt up in trip.

Sale Next Best Bet - Race 7 No. 9 Diamonds
It was a super effort last start and if she had of been running straight, arguably she wins that April 6 event but I am going to put that down to her being fresh first-up.
Second-up with the edge taken off, I love that Gemma Rielly is now training her to be a get back and run on horse, as last prep, she sat on the speed and showed no real acceleration, but now she seems to have gained a turn of foot.
The winkers come off for this run, and while Joe Bowditch is in flying form, this looks the perfect time to strike with a filly that he knows.
The second placed horse has subsequently won from last start, so the form is there to say that Diamonds should be shorter in the market.

Sale Best Bet - Race 8 No. 4 Libertus
This four-year-old could not have been more impressive fresh when well backed at Cranbourne, saluting over Strategy who has subsequently run very well behind a smart horse once again.
Libertus comes up to the 1110m now from the 1000m, which he does give every indication that he will run out as he was over a length faster in his final 200m than any other horse in his race.
There is a nice turn-of-foot with this horse and a bit of a spruik to go with it, which generally means they are better than average.
He will land in the box seat from gate four, getting the same run as last start and hopefully will prevail in the final event of the day.
