Rosehill is one of the two main Sydney racecourses which hosts meetings all-year round and stages feature programs in the autumn which includes Golden Slipper Day, one of the biggest cards on the Australian racing calendar.

Our Rosehill best bets are provided by expert form analysts and tipsters, with free betting tips available right here.

Rosehill Tips March 18

Race 1 - 12:10PM Midway Handicap Tips (1500m)

Selections: 13,8,2,6.

Off a trial win, the Provincial Qualifier return of 13. ARTIE'S AURA was sound, with the lightly raced mare caught on the worst part of that Kembla track. Expect the inside here to be much more advantageous and she's on the 52kg minimum from gate one. Placed in a stronger race here last winter and will do work in the run.

8. Straight Acer is the most talented runner here and has had only four starts. Hard stable to catch with these odd little freshen-up's and he was plain at on Feb 17. Drops 5.5kg, but is a month between runs.

2. Vucetich recorded his first fresh victory on Feb 23 and there was some depth to that BM64. Off speed at Rosehill is the worry, but 1500m suits.

6. The Himalayas has had no luck all prep, but once again draws wide. Do they push forward early?

Race 2 - 12:45PM Kia N E Manion Cup Tips (2400m)

Selections: 4,1,3,5.

Although the topweight presents a challenge, 4. GLORY DAZE can complete the hat-trick here, with the four-year-old import only third-up on Feb 25 off somewhat of a spaced-out prep and he carries 3kg less here. These Maher & Eustace stayers so often hold their form and go on winning streaks, with this a runner still on the up.

1. Sir Lucan is an obvious threat off an all the way return on March 4, where the five-year-old was first-up after contesting at the 2021 Melbourne Cup. He'll go forward, along with the fav, who he does spot 4kg to.

3. High Emocean wasn't beaten that far fresh and that same quinella ran top two in the Australian Cup Prelude. Extra 300m is ideal second-up.

5. Almania backs-up from last Sat, where he took out a BM78 at $9. That was the time to back him.

Race 3 - 1:25PM Bisley Workwear Epona Stakes Tips (1900m)

Selections: 10,6,7,2.

Class rises can be irrelevant in these mares' races and this event is a good example as you're only going back a few starts to see both favs beaten in BM78's. 10. SANSTOC arrives here airborne, with the four-year-old not suited by staying at 1400m second-up, but she still saluted and arrives to a black-type tilt in great touch.

With this distance in mind, Sandown Cup winner 6. Gin Martini was as good any of them in the Aspiration Stakes and that's the key form reference for this event. Gate 11 may force another cold ride, though.

7. Pink Ivory just missed in the Aspiration Stakes and she's unbeaten second-up, launching off a similar pattern last prep. Firm ground is the key.

Never thought I'd see 2. Thalassophile as a Group 3 winner. Super honest, but has a 3kg penalty here.

Race 4 - 2:00PM Sky Racing Rosehill Guineas Tips (2000m)

Selections: 5,4,1,3.

Stepping to 1800m second-up at Sandown after resuming in a muddling 1400m affair, 5. PERICLES was arrogant in the Autumn Classic, where he put them away in a few strides. That was only start six and arriving off a performance that may well be the making of him, he's also got more upside and class than any of his rivals.

4. Matcha Latte appeared to lose all momentum at a key stage second-up in the Randwick Guineas, as he couldn't build revs from the box-seat and he was a $5 chance in that Group 1. The penny hasn't dropped.

Second-up and to 2000m now, Victoria Derby winner 1. Manzoice should progress off his Randwick Guineas return, where he only got warm late.

3. Lindermann is hard-fit and stuck on well in the Randwick Guineas. Will he run a strong 2000m?

Race 5 - 2:40PM Irresistible Pools Darby Munro Stakes Tips (1200m)

Selections: 1,8,5,9.

The Annabel Neasham-trained 1. SWISS EXILE is a big price in his autumn return, a Group 2 winning colt that was very consistent before a spring prep which fell away. I loved his first trial on March 2, where he moved effortlessly through his gears and the handbrake was firmly applied in the latest. Maps nicely in an open race.

We've been with 8. Dashing Legend in both wins this campaign and despite going up 2kg off the Fireball, she's the most likely from that event. Tactically versatile and with a slick turn-of-foot, she can salute again.

5. Economics was a beaten fav in the Fireball, where he did work early and was entitled to be vulnerable late off that run. He'll only strip fitter.

9. Spacewalk is much better than what we saw at Sandown and did win over this track/trip two back.

Race 6 - 3:15PM Ranvet Stakes Tips (2000m)

Selections: 2,7,1,3.

A Rosehill Guineas winner over this track/trip two years ago, 2. MO'UNGA has only saluted once since that triumph, but he's remained competitive at the highest level throughout. His Chipping Norton effort was a good lead-up, where he worked and stuck on bravely, but just lacked the sprint of Anamoe and Fangirl over a mile.

7. Montefilia won this second-up last year, upsetting Verry Elleegant in the process and arrives off a similar platform, although this year's return was stronger. For a four-time Group 1 winner, she's underrated.

Melbourne Cup winner 1. Gold Trip was enormous on return, although was entitled to run on given how brutal that race was. Will that flatten him?

Respect anything from the William Haggas yard in Aus and he prepares Group 2 winner 3. Dubai Honour.

Race 7 - 4:00PM The Agency George Ryder Stakes Tips (1500m)

Selections: 1,11,2,6.

Gate 11 and the addition of Artorius, Osipenko and Communist to this line-up make things interesting, but 1. ANAMOE is still clearly the one to beat, with the Godolphin star aiming for Group 1 win number nine. Given the lack of speed here, J-Mac may push the button early and cross. Suspect we'll get a better price at the jump.

11. Osipenko would've bolted in with the Randwick Guineas, but was scratched race morning due to an elevated temperature. He's a three-year-old on the up and his ceiling is still unclear. A must for the exotics.

2. Artorius broke his drought in the Canterbury Stakes and while talented enough to push Anamoe, the fav is on another planet compared to Imperatriz.

Not sure why 6. Fangirl hasn't been campaigning in Melbourne, but she'll likely run top three/four here.

Race 8 - 4:45PM Longines Golden Slipper Tips (1200m)

Selections: 10,8,1,3.

As the only unbeaten runner in the 2023 Golden Slipper, I'm surprised that 10. LEARNING TO FLY isn't fav, a Coolmore filly who has shown versatility in all starts and with a sit off stronger tempo here, she'll be better suited than in the Reisling, where she was more workmanlike, but got the job done. Hasn't put a hoof wrong.

In those small lead-up events, 8. King's Gambit hasn't been able to settle well and here in a bigger field, he'll be able to get a tow in off a stronger speed. He's been set for this a long way out and could be ready to explode.

1. Little Brose is another that's been pretty well faultless, with the Blue Diamond winner having also beaten the fav (Cylinder) easily in the Merson Cooper.

At bolters odds ($41.00 @ BoomBet), include 3. Arkansaw Kid in exotics. Was only second-up in the Blue Diamond and he had excuses fresh.

Race 9 - 5:20PM Kia Ora Galaxy Tips (1100m)

Selections: 2,6,7,1.

A talented sprinter who has made a successful return from injury, 2. UNCOMMON JAMES had a good blowout before winning the Oakleigh Plate second-up. Remaining at handicap level, he only goes up 1kg off that recent victory and with most of the early speed drawn out, he'll look to camp just in behind them. He's still improving.

After an uncharacteristic poor start, that Oakleigh Plate return from 6. Asfoora was brave and the work to recover then get into the race told late in the piece, where fitness gave out. Has a 2.5kg swing on the fav.

If 7. Remarque is ever going to win a Group 1, it's here with 51.5kg. Is now better suited after giving weight to Giga Kick, who is a class above him.

1. Eduardo has knocks (weight, age, map etc), but if the fav doesn't progress, then there's a decent tail and he's the class.

Race 10 - 5:55PM TAB Birthday Card Stakes Tips (1200m)

Selections: 1,3,5,7.

Keen on Queensland mare 1. PALAISIPAN, a Group 2 winner last winter who was then Group 1 placed. She found a stronger race than this via the Sheraco first-up over this track/trip in Spring and finished third, before racing wide as runner-up behind Nimalee (Group 1 winner). Lead-up trial was superb and she'll get a soft run.

Returning to mares' grade off a first-up Oakleigh Plate attempt, 3. Zapateo is well placed second-up and she did have some excuses, having being flushed out early there. Just wonder if she's looking for a wet track?

5. Jal Lei got the cash for us first-up at decent odds and that protest was always going to be upheld. Her trial was slick...she looks to be flying.

7. Written Beauty has bombed the start in both runs this campaign, but has got home well each time.
