Rosehill is one of the two main Sydney racecourses which hosts meetings all-year round and stages feature programs in the autumn which includes Golden Slipper Day, one of the biggest cards on the Australian racing calendar.

Our Rosehill best bets are provided by expert form analysts and tipsters, with free betting tips available right here.

Rosehill Tips February 19

Race 1 - 12:25PM TAB Highway Handicap Tips (1400m)

Selections: 19,12,5,14.

19. HARD TO DISMISS is hard-fit and flying, while she carries 1kg less for coming out of a provincial Class 1 taken out by a handy Flying Crazy (running in the Hobartville). This filly may have made that interesting from a better draw and now jumps from gate one, which we know can be a big advantage at Rosehill. Looks to get more favors than most.

12. Danzadel got to 1400m at Nowra and recorded win number three after competitive Highway efforts over shorter trips. The Berry/Robinson combo has been a strong one over the last few years and she draws well in two.

5. Steplee shouldn't be far away third-up and was clearing out with the winner in a provincial BM68 at Newcastle. Best horse in this, but has a messy map.

14. Haven will find this harder, although has been racing consistently and she should get a soft run. Not hopeless at big odds ($26.00 @ Neds).

Race 2 - 1:00PM Schweppes Handicap Tips (1100m)

Selections: 2,3,1,6.

2. SHADOW CRUSH jumped from a BM78 to give Kallos, Malkovich, Sky Command and Mossman Gorge windburn, so there may well be handy race for this gelding if he holds his form. In a small field where Mr Mosaic will kick up from the inside to take on Rule Of Law early, the set-up appeals on paper. The query is making a wide run at Rosehill.

3. Mr Mosaic is well suited to these 1100m dashes at Rosehill, as he has tactical speed and can absorb a strong tempo before kicking late. Going for a winning hat-trick over this track/trip and has gate one at his disposal.

1. Rule Of Law is flying, unbeaten in four runs as a gelding and for new trainer Bjorn Baker. Back in trip no problems, but this is his sternest task so far.

6. Gravina returns a gelding and will be big yard watch off one decent trial. Ran serious times on a few occasions last year.

Race 3 - 1:35PM Midway Handicap Tips (1500m)

Selections: 2,3,10,9.

2. MILITARY EXPERT looked the obvious resuming in a Midway on January 29, but the market was very easy on him and while he appeared to be in a perfect trailing position, his fitness gave out late after chasing a strong tempo. Up to 1500m and from barrier five, Tommy Berry can control this, while he'll only strip fitter. Gets every chance to atone.

3. McCormack is a hard horse to catch and has been mixing his form, improving off a poor Warwick Farm run to find the line of February 5. Hasn't won in a long time, but did take the scalp of Think It Over via that last victory.

10. Remus was scratched two weeks ago from a suitable Randwick event, so there's clearly been issues off the Canterbury flop. Capable if right though.

9. French Emperor was plain after a return victory and this is a little harder. Has class, but short enough from a wide gate.

Military Expert - $3.00Rosehill Race Threebet now

Race 4 - 2:10PM Rosehill Bowling Club Millie Fox Stakes Tips (1300m)

Selections: 3,2,1,6.

3. EXPAT has won her last three Rosehill attempts, all in the 1300m-1400m range and with the blinkers reapplied, this is a similar pattern to the November return over this track/trip, while she won at group level two starts later. Krone and Rocha Clock are maybe classier, but Expat makes her own luck and Tom Sherry should be able to roll across early.

2. Rocha Clock may just be a run short fresh at 1300m, with perhaps the Coolmore Classic a target, although she's trialled up strongly twice and is generally thereabouts in these mares races. She'll be getting home late.

1. Krone fired in Sydney off a Magic Millions run last year, which included a Group 1 win. Going fine in QLD, just felt she wanted a little more ground now.

6. Belluci Babe warrants respect as a fit contender and she should have the first drop on Expat. Will she run out the 1300m?

Race 5 - 2:45PM Ned Whisky Handicap Tips (1100m)

Selections: 6,1,2,9.

6. ABLE WILLIE has been strangely placed, avoiding Warwick Farm fresh for a Canterbury 1100m event, where he recorded the fastest last 600m of that January 28 card in a narrow defeat after storming home. 1100m and Rosehill doesn't look ideal, but he does drop in the weights and while raw now, he could a serious sprinter in 6-12 months.

1. Mazu rolled our top tip at listed level before a spell and was produced off a freshen-up there. I think Able Willie is much more talented, but Mazu is the professional currently and there was no faulting the January 31 trial.

2. Nasurtium deserves his chance at this level, an unbeaten and well bred four-year-old entire who recorded another soft victory when leading at Canterbury.

9. Zapateo is a younger half-sister to Osborne Bulls and among the returners, she's been the pick of them from the trials.

Race 6 - 3:25PM Fujitsu General Silver Slipper Stakes Tips (1100m)

Selections: 13,8,1,11.

13. QUEEN OF THE BALL admittedly found the fast lane on January 29, but the fillies rated much better via the Widden Stakes than the Canonbury Stakes on that card, going three lengths faster overall and were five lengths quicker for the last 600m. Only a lack of race experience cost her on debut and she has the benefit of gate one here.

8. Boyfriend will be better suited over 1400m-1600m (Sires?) but feel he has a higher ceiling than a good chunk of these and the winkers go on off a nice closing effort on debut. Extra 100m is a tick and is huge odds ($21.00 @ bet365) here.

1. Shalatin has plenty of X factor and could well be a late Golden Slipper contender in a weak year. Gate 13 is the worry, but look for him to wind up late.

11. Ojai defeated the fav on debut, albeit was a little lucky and then was next to Sejardan and Shalatin. Can settle closer.

Race 7 - 4:05PM Parramatta Cup Tips (1900m)

Selections: 2,8,11,1.

2. GREAT HOUSE could be value in a bit of a lottery. After showing promise, but little maturity, the penny may have dropped last spring, when winning twice. Did have a turn-of-foot to roll Wairere Falls fresh at 1500m in winter, which very few of these have in their kitbag and hasn't finished outside the top four at Rosehill, which includes two wins.

8. Mightybeel has really come on in his four-year-old season, quickly working his way through the grades last prep, which culminated in a listed win. Not easy against some seasoned rivals, but he does have some brilliance.

11. No Compromise is building well ahead of this 1900m tilt. Found the line at cricket score odds fresh before a solid outing over the mile behind Frosty Rocks.

1. Entente doesn't have winning first-up form, but may be more forward at this trip. Trialling well and is the likely leader.

Race 8 - 4:45PM Petaluma Hobartville Stakes Tips (1400m)

Selections: 1,4,10,2.

1. ANAMOE has to go on top as clearly the most likely winning chance in the Hobartville Stakes, especially now at 1400m, but the Rosehill track does frighten me to go chips-in on a circuit that has been his undoing now three times. If the track is even remotely fair, he could do a number on these, but not climbing over chairs to take the price.

4. Hilal returned nicely in a leader dominated Eskimo Prince and with the early speed drawn out, 'The Wizard' simply has to use the inside alley, to land just off them early. Is at least an each-way chance at double figures ($12.00 @ TopSport).

10. Maurice's Medad is balancing up late in his work, so the 1400m should suit and he can push forward from gate five. Big price ($31.00 @ betstar) here off a favorable map.

2. Converge isn't a sprinter, which adds merit to the return behind Paulele. Prefers a sit, but may have to push on from the draw.

Anamoe - $1.85Rosehill Race Eightbet now

Race 9 - 5:25PM Chandon Handicap Tips (1400m)

Selections: 9,1,2,6.

9. GIANNIS is better placed at benchmark level against older horses, where he carries 54kg rather than battling Anamoe and co at level weights. Forgive the return where he made a mess of the start, which hadn't been an issue under McEvoy, who takes back the reins. Plenty of chances here, but he could be a big improver now second-up.

1. Groundswell has also accepted for Flemington, albeit this is the much softer option, despite the 61kg. Fitness gave out late first-up when giving weight to some handy types and the subsequent jump out was faultless.

2. Sky Lab was frustrating last year, with a narrow Group 1 loss to Mo'unga and he should've bolted in with the Cameron in spring. Respect at this level.

6. New Arrangement needs luck with his racing pattern, but is rarely far away and has some handy form from his last prep.

Race 10 - 6:00PM XXXX Handicap Tips (1400m)

Selections: 4,3,10,12.

4. ULYSSES would perhaps be better placed over 1550m in the last at Canterbury, albeit he does have gate 11 there and despite this being tougher, I think it's a race of only three or four chances. He lost crucial ground second-up over this track/trip and was doing his best work after the line. Had a tick-over trial and should land just off them early.

3. Dajraan could easily go on with it in his second Australian start, having safely accounted for BM72 and does draw barrier one once again. While this isn't stacked with quality, that January 26 line-up was much weaker.

10. Sindacato showed class in NZ and the lightly raced six-year-old now joins Chris Waller. His Rosehill trial when towing himself after the line, was superb.

12. War Eternal finds a more suitable event after the Eskimo Prince return. 1400m works and can land closer over this trip.
