Race 1 - 12:20PM Ranvet Handicap Tips (1150m)
Selections: 7,6,1,5.
7. SECRET REVOLUTION failed in his October debut, but there were definite excuses (got his tongue over the bit). Back at the trials, his December 20 win at Wyong was excellent in what was easily the fastest 845m heat that morning. From gate seven, they may look to take a sit this time.
6. London was easily the pick of the first starters from the trials, a smooth moving son of Capitalist that worked well at Canterbury. From the same family as Polar Success (Golden Slipper winner).
1. California Deeply is the only winner, with Fireburn (winner) and Shailailed (no luck when third behind a smart one last week) produced from that December 8 event.
5. Glint Of Silver will make a nice horse in time and had no luck via the Inglis Nursery when never on the track. Big odds ($20.00 @
Sportsbet) from a better draw.
Race 2 - 12:55PM TAB Highway Handicap Tips (1400m)
Selections: 3,6,9,7.
3. BANJU was fair on return via a provincial BM68 and then was luckless second-up in the December 18 Highway, Wide and with nothing taking him into the race, Banju was doing all of the donkey work, yet still fought back in a narrow loss. If Jean can find cover early, he can go one better here.
6. Still In Fashion is fourth-up, winning over this trip at this stage of his first prep and the blinkers now go on. The 60.5kg was the difference last start and he drops a whopping 9kg off that run.
9. Diorissima has a lot more ability than her record suggests and first-up, relished a strong speed to launch late for a breakthrough at Wyong. She can go on with it.
7. Pay The Deeler draws for a soft run and had won two in a row prior to contesting a pair of BM70's in Melbourne, which reads well here.
Race 3 - 1:30PM Heineken 3 Handicap Tips (2400m)
Selections: 1,5,7,2.
1. HERMAN HESSE beat Nobel Heights (won his next two) before coming to Sydney, where he was given a sore back on October 9, then spotted 6.5kg to Suppression. Lacked the class of Mightybeel in the Xmas Cup, but put a huge space on the rest and apprentice Tyler Schiller can dictate this up front.
5. Black Queen is no world beater, but she's as honest as they come and is holding form deep into this campaign. From gate three under Bayliss, she may just get the suck run off the fav.
7. Comme Bella Fille was rolled as a $2 fav last Wednesday. although was back/crowded in a stop/start affair and the ride was a little cute. Forgive that.
2. Born A King has been a little flat since a strong second-up victory and drops in class here. Perhaps better suited ridden cold?
Race 4 - 2:05PM Midway Handicap Tips (1100m)
Selections: 7,2,5,1.
7. KEY LARGO looks the each-way play. Returning as a gelding ahead of this campaign, he trialled strongly twice ahead of his Gosford tilt, a muddling race he wins with a better draw and forced back at Canterbury, was good late once again. With a cleaner jump, he gets his chance to atone third-up.
2. Osamu was scratched from Gosford and giving weight to rivals in a decent form race fresh, he stuck on quite well. Given the average lead-up trial, he should only improve second-up.
5. Nikohli Beagle could easily blow this field away, a sprinter that looked at least Saturday class before petering out last prep. Has a great first-up record.
1. Henschel was flat first-up, but that's common for him fresh and he did bolt in second-up last prep. Comes back in grade now.
Race 5 - 2:40PM The Agency Real Estate Handicap Tips (1100m)
Selections: 2,1,4,7.
2. SALINA DREAMING has won her last three first-up attempts and after a three-length victory in March, did have a $3.70 SP in a strong BM88 which included Lost And Running and More Prophets. The recent December trials were rather inconclusive, so the betting could tell the story ahead of this.
1. Irish Angel relished the Heavy 10 to win well fresh and although not as suited on a Soft 5, still got home well second-up. Drops in grade here, but the drying surface is the knock.
4. Celestine debuts for Matthew Dale, an ex-McEvoy runner that won her first three before tackling stronger company. Hasn't trialled publicly though.
7. Forzanini is unbeaten from two this prep, although did get the dream run at Canterbury. We'll get a better gauge on her here.

Race 6 - 3:20PM Maroubra Mile Tips (1550m)
Selections: 1,4,7,5.
1. PURPLE SECTOR was giving significant weight to Oscar Zulu fresh, who never went around a horse and Dream Circle, who was third-up off two listed tilts. It a strong return effort, he now drops 2kg with the claim and in the small field, Chris Williams should be pushing forward early with Bigboyroy.
4. Kirwan's Lane bounced back off a Villiers flop last Saturday and should've won by further. Lack of speed the query, but plummets in the weights and many of these are struggling to win.
7. Bigboyroy topped up the bookies Xmas stockings second-up, yet should be better suited by the rise in trip here and is now on the 52.5kg minimum.
5. Bottega was well backed in that same event and given the pattern, was entitled to do a little more. He draws softer second-up.
Race 7 - 4:00PM Schweppes Handicap Tips (1000m)
Selections: 1,4,5,3.
1. VAN GIZ recorded the fastest last 600m of the December 18 card, sustaining a wide run from last, whereas The Bopper got the split, a stakes-class sprinter in a BM78. Outside the winner, Van Giz was still the strongest on the line and we're getting each-way odds in a race that's no harder.
4. Dragonstone was beaten by Bacchanalia, a subsequent stakes winner and Lady Of Luxury has also come from that race. Can bounce back, but there's a smell about that prior Kembla form.
5. Leo should never have started fav over The Bopper, but that chasing effort was still good and his one big peak came here second-up in October.
3. De Grawin looks the natural leader, a lightly raced mare that didn't quite go on with it last campaign. Too short at sub $4 for mine.
Race 8 - 4:40PM Acy Securities Handicap Tips (1550m)
Selections: 1,6,8,3.
.
1. TOOMUCHTOBEAR beat Mr Brightside via his prior 1400m attempt, who won his next six before a close defeat as fav in a Group 1, so this gelding could be found fresh, where he pounced late and this isn't tougher. The extra 150m suits and this progressive four-year-old is very well placed again.
6. Speed Legend did the donkey work last start, which was a narrow defeat and we'll get a better guide here, as he'll finally get cover. Talented and the logical threat to our top selection.
8. Mr Bond seems a run short, but he was well backed fresh at 1400m, where he only balanced up late and interestingly the blinkers go back on.
3. For Valour is limited, but is hard-fit, in-form and will push forward from out wide. Should be finishing top 3/4 with even luck.
Race 9 - 5:20PM Petaluma Handicap Tips (1300m)
Selections: 2,8,1,3.
2. SNITZONFIRE is a three-year-old that deserves another chance, as he does look a completely different galloper when allowed to dictate up front, something he hasn't been able to do via his last two, which followed a freshen-up. Fitter again, he should get every chance here from a low draw.
8. Kanazawa only arrives off a maiden victory, but the way he knuckled down late was impressive and that followed some very sharp work at the trials. He seems a lot more untapped than these.
1. Construct resumed as a gelding and would've made it interesting from a kinder draw, which he gets here. Decent price ($12.00 @
Palmerbet) back against his own age group.
3. Starman won well fresh and although unsuited by the pattern second-up, he was still quite plain. Is clearly better than that.
Race 10 - 6:00PM Sharp Extensive It Handicap Tips (1300m)
Selections: 11,5,3,6.
11. ACROPHOBIC could be the value, albeit this is a lottery. Now owned by Australian Bloodstock and trained by Cody Morgan, his most two recent Tamworth trials were far stronger than the lazy work delivered before some previous preps, and it was only in April where he was seemingly stakes class.
5. Queen Bellissimo is racing well, but does stay at 58kg coming out of a Midway. If you look at where second and third come from there, it was a much stronger victory than the margin suggests.
3. Rubamos carried 60.5kg to bounce back at Warwick Farm and this BM78 is well within his reach. He's hard-fit and maps for a gun run once again.
6. Tanker was nearly the run of that Wyong Magic Millions 3 & 4yo and drops 2.5kg off that. Will do no work from gate two.
