Pinjarra Best Bet - Race 2 No. 1 Magnachine
She had trialled up well ahead of a 1000m resumption on June 5 and while Magnachine wasn't disgraced in that June 5 attempt, she did find the five furlongs too sharp.
The three-year-old improved off that with a runner-up finish on June 19 over this track/trip and there was plenty of merit to that performance, as she was back and forced wide.
If you swap runs with the eventual winner, then it's likely a different result and against a fav (En Plein Air) who is at start four in her first prep, this filly can cash in from a good draw.
Statewide Turf Services Maiden Tips (Race 3)
Pinjarra Value Bet - Race 3 No. 14 Hot Like Chili
Despite being well held first-up at Bunbury over 1200m following a decent trial, this three-year-old made some inroads for fourth before stepping up to 1400m second-up on June 20.
In a race that's already produced a subsequent winner, Hot Like Chili was eased back again due to a wide alley and she was doing her best work late (second-fastest last 600m).
This maiden is a little weaker and now over 1800m from a kinder draw, she can settle closer under Lucy Fiore and with any improvement third-up, she's in the mix.
Tabtouch Same Race Multi Handicap Tips (Race 5)
Pinjarra Next Best Bet - Race 5 No. 2 Outfield
He didn't have the best luck early on via his first prep for trainer Steven Burton, but he found form at the back-end of that campaign with a win and a second before a spell.
Outfield landed big bets with an impressive all-the-way victory when resuming at Bunbury on June 2 and he was well-backed again last start via a Saturday 66+ at Belmont.
A strong seven furlongs is a touch far for the gelding, who comes back in distance third-up and given where the first two came from, there was still merit to that second-up run.
Alcoa Supporting The Community Handicap Tips (Race 6)
Pinjarra Roughie - Race 6 No. 7 Red Flora
While he was never in winning contention fresh over this trip, Red Flora performed better than the ninth-of-twelve finish indicates and the form through the first two has stood up.
The blinkers went on Red Flora after his second-up run at Pinjarra, where the gelding was shuffled back at key stages, however, he still found the line well behind a talented Doctor Jay.
He was too keen with the blinkers and tired in a race that was taken out by a Saturday winner, but the shades are now off and this is the weakest race he's seen all prep.
