Pinjarra Next Best Bet - Race 1 No. 5 History Won't Care

He's well bred, being a half-brother to Portland Sky (Group 1 winner) and Above The Peg (four-time Saturday metro winner), and History Won't Care looks to have ability.

Although he couldn't land bets as well backed fav on debut, the three-year-old was hard to miss in that March 2 outing, where he came from off the speed in a slowly run race.

History Won't Care was only narrowly beaten in that first race day appearance, where he laid in at key stages and natural improvement is predicted over a more suitable trip.

Although he was disappointing last start, the son of Oratario bounced off a flat performance last campaign when defeating a progressive Wicked Venom in a metro Class 1.

Smokey Mountain was only second-up in that April 27 attempt, which he arrived to nine days after a decent return in a Pinjarra Class 3 that has produced two subsequent winners.

He returns to the Pinjarra straight course third-up on Wednesday and from barrier 10, he can find the outside the rail and lead early, which often the place to be over this track/trip.

Pinjarra Best Bet - Race 7 No. 5 Elbow Lounge

This four-year-old is knocking on the door and while he's technically up in grade fourth-up, the Bruce Watkins-trained galloper is seemingly ready to peak at 1400m.

He also carries 3kg less from his latest outing over 1200m at Ascot, where Elbow Lounge recorded the race-fastest closing sectionals and William Pike now takes the reins.

Although he's untried over this distance, the gelding has given the impression all prep that he's looking for a little more ground, while he has the fitness platform and map favours here.

She rounded out her first prep with two tries at stakes level and off a decent Belmont lead-up trial where the three-year-old wasn't knocked about, she finds a winnable race first-up.
